Internship no. 1

I recently got done with a very short internship for Plays for Young Audiences. My job was to make illustrations for the two plays, "The Flying Machine" and "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp."

These are my two final images for "The Flying Machine." It's a play about three children in an eye hospital that decide to create a flying machine to escape the hospital. I first drew the images with pencil then added texture and color in photoshop.

These are my final images for "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp." This was a fun play to read because it is so different from the Aladdin I grew up with. In my Image I have Aladdin with the princess, Jinn of the Lamp and Jinn of the ring (the two genies), and the sorcerer peaking from behind. I did the same process on these illustrations as I did with "The Flying Machine."

The plays will be at the Minneapolis Children's Theatre, and I am very excited to see my images used for promotion.

Hello! 

Over the past weekend, I was asked to make a poster for the band Nice Purse! 

I hope it's obvious, but this is the poster for Nice Purse's CD release show, for their album Black Medal. I made this poster relatively quickly and I feel that it turned out wonderfully.  Last night I went to the Electric Fetus and was overjoyed to see my work!

I felt like a proud mother.
